Why do interviewers lie to you when you get rejected?
I am a recent grad looking for a IB position. I worked at no-name boutique in the summer in NY. I've been interviewing at other boutiques. I have had a bunch of interviews where I did well on the technicals and behavioural, made it to final rounds only to be rejected. They all say it is because they want someone with more experience or don't have a need for someone at my level. But when I check linkedin a couple months later, I saw that they hired someone who has the same amount of experience that I do, but worked at a BB. I am feeling really discouraged because of this. Is there any way to overcome this stigma? Its so frustrating sometimes.
