Why do some students empty out their LinkedIn profiles after signing a SA internship?

I’ve noticed that a lot of students at my school go completely incognito on LinkedIn after signing for their junior year internship. This means deleting their pfp and past experiences, hiding their last names, etc

I deleted all past exp and just kept my IB stuff bc that’s all that matters now all the xtra ecollege stuff is kind of cringe
