Why Goldman Sachs
Hi! I’m currently in the IBD process, next week is my final interview with the MD (outside US). The feedback that I have received is that I need to work on my “Why Goldman Sachs” question. Apart from the obvious answers, can someone give specific examples on how to ace that question?! Would be greatly appreciated

I worked there. You should not be asking other people for their answer but instead crafting your own. If you need someone else to answer for you, you don’t deserve to work there
Agreed. As far as knowing how to answer “why x firm” it doesn’t get much easier than “why Goldman”
It's hard to let the emotions take control and say you're joining the firm for top exits during the interview. Other reason for joining GS would of course be to say you like to get cheeks clapped by MDs

Or some shit like that. There's only so much you can say. Given the number of applicants, you statistically can't think of something truly unique and mind-blowing, so just be confident and realistic in why you want them.
If they ask you if you want to do PE, just say, I lean toward being in IB long-term for a, b, & c reasons, but I don't know ultimately as I'm just a college sophomore and haven't experienced any of it full time.
