Why is my friend asking me to introduce her to my network?

So I know this girl who asks me to let her "hang out" with my friends and colleagues, specifically analysts. She told me she is NOT looking for a job or a boyfriend, but won't say what she wants from them.

What could be the reasons she wants to network with my people?

wallstreetballaSounds like a part 1) social climber part 2 ) gold digger

A bit of an unnecessary negative outlook. Probably not different than us looking in our social networks for hot females with something going for them. She is just a bit more forward than society generally says females should be about it.

RavenousIf she were a gold digger, don't you think she would be aiming above the analyst level?

she has to start off somewhere. dude, this is easy poon poon. fill your needs then SLOWLY start introducing her.

tell her I'm an analyst

IVY MANI believe her when she says she's not looking for a boyfriend. I just do not know what the fuck it is she wants.

and you are asking us?

She is the one that you need to ask.

Oh wait, let me get my crystal ball

She's lying bro. If she wants to hang out with your analyst buddies, she's either looking for a job or a boyfriend. There's no other reason why she would specifically ask to hang out with male analysts.

edit: just read that you said that she's not that pretty. Is she still in school? If so, the chances that she would want to use your friends is pretty high. If not, I'd still caution over introducing her.

jpmoranmonkeysachsIt is pretty obvious that she wants to meet more analysts and build her network, nothing wrong with it. But she shouldn't lie about it.

How did she lie about it?

She told the OP that she is not looking for a job or a man, but did she tell the OP that she is not trying to build her network?

PikeLooks like she is simply trying to expand her network...

She definitely is looking for some people who will help her "expand her network"

Are you referring to the network or her vagina? Sarcasm doesnt come across well here.

It could be simply because :

-She wants to diversify her professional network

  • She is not looking for a job now, but wants to eventually moves to Wall Street. So she start building her base before she needs/wants the job. That's the smart way to go. Build your network when you don't need the people and take the time to get to know them and have them know you better.
