The outreach is always so dry. It feels like an autist trying to figure out how to get an internship by set-playing his way through to get an Internship.

I blame how early and competitive recruiting is. You basically have to have a resume and internships already at 19, the chads are either right there being hardos or miss the boat on recruiting
Is it not possible to do both these days?

Athletes will do outreach to former players from their team, not some random cold outreach.

I've heard its less networking/outreach based - more formal process so I would assume no but I'm interested in getting the full picture.
