I am a new monkey just on my 2nd year CF and have 2-yr prior experience in risk management team. I have heard loads of compliants on less bonus, long hours, no life...and I have seen ppl going for MBA degree / going to Corp / PE for their next stage of career. But I have seen very few case to change to S&T or quant (better life with not much cut on salary) by pursuing a MFE degree. I believe there must be loads of smart brains in this street that can handle the cracking number parts. How do you guys look at it? Do you think it is a viable path to get a little life back?
