Will banks reject guys interned at their audit firms?
Hi all, here is my quick question. Interned at one of big 4 as a junior, I am concerned that this experience would hurt my chance when applying for SA/FT positions of those public banks. When doing online applications, I noticed that some banks require declaimers of "not worked at PwC/E&Y/KPMG/DDT and whatever', does it mean if you have interned there, you are done with this bank?
Much appreciated.
Anyone could kindly comment on this plz...
That's probably for disclosure / conflict of interest purposes. Honestly, you'd have to talk to the bank's HR to find out more about that. Hopefully being an intern won't preclude you from getting a nod.
thanks for you comments. do hope it wont hurt my chance...just sent emails to those HR and dont know if they will reply.
it will be really ridiculous if i am rejected just because of my 1-year-ago internship at Big 4.
anyway thanks again!
I think especially if you didn't do any audit or anything for that specific company that you'll be fine. I might also consider calling HR; you don't have anything to lose. Good luck
