Will I get paid out my bonus if I leave?
So I'm a 3rd year analyst now; it says in my contract that I had to stay employed at the firm past xyz date in the past to be eligible for this years bonus. Most of my class left for PE already (all on the same day) and they will get paid their bonus (confirmed with previous years); not all of them were the best standing / had tension with the firm as they left. I've had a good relationship/reviews, I just really don't want to do banking for 1 more year. I received an offer for a startup and plan to put in my normal 2 week bonus and hope to leave on good terms. Wondering
I'd always wait until the bonus clears before announcing anything.
yea but we pay late, like it's 1.5 months out and the startup offer is near term
You should assume it won't pay, if you take the offer and resign.
