Will this affect my future/group placement?

Before I start, I think I'm overthinking this and I'm a bit of a neurotic person, but I wanted to get everyone's thoughts. I just finished my summer internship at an EB and got the offer. At a celebration event last week after offers were given out, I saw a partner of a group that I wanted to work for chatting with another intern and other bankers, but I thought I'd talk to him later on in the night. I should've known he'd leave earlier than I thought and now I feel bad that I missed the last chance to talk to this guy in person before group placement next year. Will this affect me at all, or am I overthinking it? I've talked to him briefly for 3-5 minutes before (in a 2 on 1 setting), but doubt he remembers my name. Thanks for the help, i know this is really small - but I wanted to see what everyone else thought to see if this might affect group placement at all since I really want to be in that partner's group.
