William Blair has better exits compared to RBC.
What about exits in NYC?
I didn't work for Blair but did do MM IB in Chicago. It's tough (but possible) to go to NYC from Chicago IB. There's just a ton of supply in NYC. It is, however, quite common to go to other cities (SF for example).
Also, there's not a ton of tech PE in Chicago, but there are certainly notable names like Thoma Bravo and Vista.
