Winter internship New York 2012

Hi,

I'm a French student at a target school (ESCP Europe). I'm looking for a 3/4-month winter internship in corporate finance in 2012 in New York City (ideally M&A, leveraged finance or private equity). I have a previous finance experience (summer internship in S&T at UniCredit London).

What are the firms that have off-cycle internships in New-York? In addition, do you know companies looking for French speakers or that have a strong French culture (apart from big French banks)?

Thank you

All bulge brackets will have the POTENTIAL for winter / spring internships, it just depends on your network, school, and overall qualifications

I met a few Dartmouth kids who interned during winter and / or spring term (Dec - Jun), because they have a weird quarter system

NYC from Europe, if you don't have the "papers" to work there, it's almost impossible. Anyway BNP Paribas had a program, last year, in Project Finance that was split between paris and new york and was designed for french student. You should also check you university career office. Mine, in Italy, has some openings in new york even if they are always not paid.

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.
