hey guys i worked at a BB this past summer in the ops department and i was able to get a 4-week gig for this winter break in the equity research department... I'm hoping to land an SA position in IB next summer, do you think doing this gig will help? thanks for all the help.

Yes it will absolutely help. Not sure what location you're going to be at, but if it's in a major market try and meet as many bankers as possible. Set up lunches and ask them genuine questions you have about the industry. Having an internship with Ops and ER will help land a SA position at the bank.
