Hey I'm a freshman and I just applied this semester to the ibanking club at UW Madison. Since I am a freshman, I am not expecting much but how competitive is admission to the club? Do they take freshman at all or mainly sophmores and juniors?

Second semester freshmen are often accepted but I would not worry if you do not gain admission this semester. Try again your sophomore year and know that as long as you get in by your junior year your will not be at a disadvantage.
You are smart to try to get into the club asap though as your only real chance of breaking into banking is by going through the IBC.However, once you are in the club you have a really good shot of getting a BB offer in NYC or Chicago if your are committed.
