WM/AM/IM modeling guide or resources?

I have an upcoming superday with a FIG M&A shop, which specializes in investment managers. I worked in FIG this past summer, however it was covering bank M&A rather than IM. I know the valuation is very different for a bank than it is for an investment manager, however I cannot find a guide or many resources that cover the IM space.

From what I've read, it's a similar process to other EBITDA companies, so DCF and comps, but with heavier emphasis on AUM ratios and operating/profit margins. I have built out models through coursework and personal practice for industrial, consumer retail, and chemical companies. Should this be enough to get me through the potential technicals? Any advice/resources would be much appreciated. Thanks!
