I have an advisor (who is pretty useless) but I keep him because managed accounts are easier for compliance reasons plus he can put my money in single name stocks and ETFs in my sector (I work in O&G and am banned from energy etfs in no managed accounts so this was super helpful in 2022). The other reason he’s nice is I can call him directly  when I need something instead of the bank hotline (when the atm stole my card in Brazil and I needed them to overnight mail me a new one etc.)

Otherwise I just have a fidelity account where I dump everything in the S&P and a few other index funds.
