Working for my family's biz for a year?

So I'm in a unique and fortunate position. I'm 2~ years in to M&A IB and my family are in the corporate exec world but we have a sizeable investment in a avocado and almond farming + real estate business in the west coast.

I could genuinely add a lot of value by running the business a lot more closely than my parents have been able to given they're senior execs in corporate, etc; honestly the $ I can save our fam is a whole lot more than I can probably bring through my salary right now along with taking weight off of their shoulders by learning how to manage what we have. I had the conversation with them and they agree + the skills I've built in IB in 2 years will probably carry some value. Also this could be a chance for me to travel and recover my health after a pretty intense stint since graduation.

I don't think this would be the worst thing to have on the resume. It would involve running the finances, working with the accountants, legal, daily operations if I want, taxes, etc. Maybe an MBA after or going for non buy side roles would be my plan after if not just building a small consulting biz in farm management. As a side idea I think this could be a fun time to try to start a social media account/biz about my journey. Any ideas?
