Would a non-profit internship be a decent option for a freshman?

I'm a freshman at a target. I got a non-profit internship in China, where they will pay for my housing. It looks like I'll be doing a lot of research and writing on sustainability, some accounting (which I will definitely try to emphasize), and some marketing/business development type stuff. Is this worth taking, or should I try for a more standard, freshman finance internship like PWM? I thought this might be a good opportunity since it's in a different country, and might be interesting to employers. And it sounds like I'll actually be doing a lot of real work. What do you guys think?
