MLB is still mostly a good 'ol boys network. If you played the sport you definitely have a leg up, but there are quite a few top BSchool guys either on the business side (Check Abbamondi at Padres) or the front office side of things nowadays (Epstein went to Yale and didn't play baseball)

Wouldn't have to think twice about it to be honest.

Howie Roseman (Eagles GM) started in Philadelphia as a salary cap consultant straight out of Fordham Law, as far as I remember.

I wouldn't even need to know what the salary was (I assume I'd be fine in the long run).

Im not in IB or trading, but I'd be in my car n 15 min on my way to my new office if I had that opportunity.

If hockey or surfing then HELLZ YEA BIO!!!

If another sport.......need more info: * Does the company merely "have potential" or is it going places? * What's your backup plan if this doesn't work out? * Are they paying you or not? * Can you go back into trading? * Will this look good for bschool? * Is it a sport that you know a lot about? * Do you know other people that have worked for this person? Realize you're putting yourself at their mercy.

Keep up posted man, this sounds like a cool opportunity, and more info if you can......
