Would you rather be a Touse Squid or a Bouse Mogger in IB

When it comes to the many banks and advisors out there, some are great at a lot and are touse think JPM, Goldman, Moelis, Evercore. But, they have squid teams, teams with no deal flow, full of squids who could’ve had a better job quite frankly but wanted the brand recognition. These guys are quite smart, probably hailing from prestigious target schools. But lived their lives on nepotism and favors, every internship they had and probably their college admission was a favor to their mega fund partner father. So when it came time to get the kid a job in banking. They stuck him somewhere he couldn’t really mess up. He’s a touse mogger, may be in touse but isn’t banging enough hot chicks to show for it and really just has as much outward recognition as anyone in IT. Then you have your bouse shops. Don’t want to trash on any but you have some shops that come into mind just when you hear that. However few have some exceptionally good teams full of smart motivated people who are absolute chillers. Welcome bouse moggers. They probably went to a target or tier 2 school in the nyc area and shy away from the fact they work where they work and no one recognizes the logo. But they still shop up everyday and put their nose to the grindstone. These guys fuck. They constantly dream of exit ops after seeing their puny bonuses but can’t leave because no one will give them a chance off the first glance of their company. However, these guys are churning deals like no other and have more deal experience than any touse squid. So what would you rather be? Touse squid or bouse mogger.
