WSO compensation report in Forbes

http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2013/03/13/how-much-do-wall-stree…

Any #'s you've found interesting?

If you haven't seen the report yet, all you have to do is submit 3 entries into the company database (//www.wallstreetoasis.com/wso-company-database), even if you've only had three phone interviews you have enough info to submit.

More info:

Here's how you get access to the full 108 page report:

All we ask from you is to take a few minutes to help us continue to build the most comprehensive and accurate database possible. After submitting three total entries (past entries count) to our Company Database (these entries can either be Company Reviews, Interview Insights* and/or Compensation Datapoints), your entries will be reviewed and you will be granted access to the report within 24 hours of submission (assuming we approve your additions).

Thats pretty damn cool. Congrats! Hopefully an article like that will bring more quality traffic to the site.

That is the worst chart I have ever seen. Formatting fail.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

That author should never be allowed to write. But congrats

KarateBoyWhy does it keep saying "Please Wait" at the bottom? I can't submit.
I dunno. Please wait and I'll get you an answer.

KarateBoy - were you able to select a company and school from our database? That may be the issue since each submission needs to be tied to a company and school...can you tell me what browser you are in? This seems to be happening to a small sub segment of the submissions for some reason...

Thanks, Patrick

I tried with both IE and Chrome.

I was able to find both my employer and school in the database. I've submitted compensation data in the past - this would be my third entry.

mossy695KarateBoy: The "please wait" thing happened whenever I selected a school from the drop-down once I began typing. If I just simply typed the name and didn't click on the employer when the name popped up, I was able to submit.

Still haven't received my copy of the report though...

maybe we shoud lmake this more clear...there is no copy sent out....if you go to the WSO Company Database, right at the top you will see a link to it. You have access according to your account.

Thank you for the description of what was messing out the submission process...we'll look into fixing that asap.

Thanks, Patrick

Congrats to Patrick and the rest of the WSO team.

Regards

SpecialSnowflakeHow is it that the intern salary numbers are so high? Also, the IB analyst numbers don't look right at all. Also, since when is WF a bulge bracket bank?
Things kind of changed circa 2007...

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. Interns make 16k at bulge brackets. There's no way the average or median is as high as stated in the report. Also, base is usually 70k. I think the report is taking into account bad submissions.
