A WSO mod deleted my comment that said "you clearly haven't been to a real city" for violating guidelines. That was literally it. No mention of any sort of protected class or even profanity lmao.
Edit: I haven't really been keeping up with what's going on on the site. It seems like the racial/incel stuff was getting out of hand and needed to be cleaned up. I hope WSO can improve the system so that it does that without messing with everything else

I had a similar issue where a comment got flagged that likely shouldn’t have been and was helpful advice. They just implemented these changes, so be patient, certainly some things they are still working through.

Yea I am afraid it may turn into reddit where you can just get banned for no reason or you disagree with people. I am generally against moderation of speech.
On one hand, that's a dumb low-effort comment better suited to somewhere like Reddit. On the other hand, deleting it is dumb as there is nothing remotely controversial about it. There's definitely going to be some growing pains in this new era.
Not to be a suck ass but can we take it easy on freaking out on the mods and WSO staff about every little thing? All they try to do is help sift through the shit to curate better content and all people do is bitch at them lol. I feel for you guys @WSO
Edit: Alright literally every back-and-forth I get into is now killed by automatic removal of people's replies and/or my own. I take it back, this sucks. I'm not trying to have a discussion with someone where every reply gets posted, then taken down, then posted again after 24-48 hours. It's disconcerting as hell.
And someone said the bank I worked at wasn't very prestigious and he STILL hasn't been banned despite me replying with a picture of the league tables and examples of exits that clearly refute his point.

hey guys, some of these are getting removed automatically and we still don't have enough volunteer mods to keep up with the 4x volume of flags... many are fine and false positives but that means that it sometimes can take us several hours if not more to get things republished that are not violations.
Please be patient with us, yesterday was a massive shift and even though it automatically unpublished a bunch of stuff that was fine, it also stopped a lot of crap from ever hitting the site...
