Post below explained it well - not sure about Citi/baml specifically but usually the broking function is combined with other UK IB stuff, so M&A, ECM and maybe DCM. In terms of bonus, I think it may generate higher fees than other teams given the recurring retainer revenue but not sure 100%
If you mean UK corporate broking, they manage relationships with clients and are on retainer. So say a client wants to announce a dividend, they can ask their corporate broker what the market reaction will be like. They're usually the UK coverage team too and work on M&A, ECM, & DCM transactions if there's a UK angle
I'm pretty sure this is a very unique UK thing (maybe Europe too), you'll probably get Americans responding to you here who might think you mean traditional broking.
Hours are bad but a bit better than other coverage groups, they follow market hours so they're in the office a few hours before and leave a few hours before too
