Year Long Internship at Equity Research Company

I have a second round interview at an equity research company and the position offered is a year long internship. I am currently in my second year at a semi-target and I want to get into investment banking. I have no prior internship experience either. Would IB employers judge a candidate for taking a year off school to work?

Make sure you still graduate on time, and try to take a class or two online and be a part time student. Otherwise, as long as you graduate on time I don't think they will care too much
