2nd/3rd Tier Firms?
i'm getting a PhD in physics from UC Berkeley sometime next year, and i'm trying to get a summer 2012 internship as a quant. i also have an undergrad degree in CompSci from Brown U.
I've sent out all my applications to the cream of the crop ( JSC, Getco, Citadel, etc. ) but i want to hedge my bets.
what are some 2nd / 3rd tier hedge funds or quant funds that are still good , BUT aren't the #1 best in the universe & thus might be easier to get into?
