3.6 GPA, semi target– struggling to convert networking calls into interviews
A couple months ago I began networking intensively, sending cold emails, and I've already had around 10 informational phone calls with a few associates / analysts at very solid investment banks. They've gone pretty well I think, and I know specifically some banks (esp tech groups) are already starting to recruit right now for a 2025 start date. My question is, how do I effectively leverage the connections I've made and will continue to be making into actual interview processes? I have a pretty solid motion in place that is landing me informational chats, but I'm struggling to see how these can get me into live processes.
If the call goes well, I'd make sure to ask them kindly to keep you in the loop once recruitment begins
Does that really work? Like will they reach out to me once they kick off? Feels like that's how I let the connections fall through the cracks but also don't wanna be too aggressive after one call
