A Unique Situation, Please

For personal reasons, I couldn't apply to S&T FT during the recruitment cycle.

With my resume and my grades, I am confident that I can recieve a ft offer at GS/JPM/BAML for trading in NYC via networking.

I graduated last month, and started networking like crazy. I really needed a job because I don't have financial support from my parents (I never met them).

I met a really nice Risk Management MD at top BB, and seeing my resume and keenness; he gave me a currency swap risk management position right away (1 week of networking). I took it to pay the rent.

However, I want to be a fixed income trader, and I've worked really really hard to have such high grades at a top school and to get such a good resume.

I've been in the job for a 3.5 weeks now, what should I do?

Should I start talking to Fixed income traders at the other top BBs?

Should I tell them that I already started work in Risk Management?

I would really appreciate some help
