About to graduate and in need of advice
I’m about to graduate from a semi-target university in the UK with a degree in computer science, but I really want to transition into asset management or consulting. The problem is that I only realised that I didn’t want to pursue a career in software engineering last year after an internship, which means that I have zero experience in anything related to finance. All that I have to show for my knowledge of finance is that I have completed a few courses such as Bloomberg’s, I attended some events at my uni, and I had accounting and economics modules. I have now applied to masters in finance programmes in London, but already got a rejection from LSE, which was my dream school. My question is how do I find a company that will accept me? I’ve already applied to hundreds of jobs and nothing has worked.
