I would say to go for it. Its just a matter of how you end this with the initial offer that you accepted. I know a classmate of mine you got offers from 3 of the Big 4 companies, and accepted one. Then got a Consulting offer with top firm a month later. He took it, and called the other firm to give his reason/explanation. He found a way to end it cleanly so that he didnt get screwed over if the other firm blacklisted him
I agree with gr8ng89....You need to give yourself security by taking the job, especially in our economy today. If you receive the other offer than you just need to eloquently and politely end it with the initial firm. In terms of career services....they usually suck anyway
