Accounting & Finance graduate looking for career suggestions

Hello! I'm having a hard time deciding which path to take going forward. A little background info on me:

  • 23 years old
  • Have a Bsc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from a mid table university in the UK
  • Moved to Canada after graduation (duel citizen) and have worked as an accountant for a small business for two years (realised accounting is not what I want to do so I haven't been working towards a professional accounting designation)
  • I have exceptional inter-personal skills
  • Key interests lie with financial markets / investments / real estate

Given that I do not want to pursue a career in accounting, do you guys have any suggestions on some different things I could do at this point with my degree / experience and personal interests in mind?

You could always move to REPE fund accounting and get an MBA/ Masters in RE to lateral to FO although that might take some time. You can do the Masters in RE right away and try to move to FO as an alternative as well.
