Advice for 1st Year Lateral

I wanted to post on here to see if anybody who may have been in a similar situation or has any input could give me advice on a lateral to IB. For context, I am a first year working for about 6 months at a MMB doing valuation / modeling work. I really enjoy the modeling work and some of the more complex valuations and have received good reviews from all of the higher ups so far. I normally work anywhere from 65 - 80 hours depending on the week, I dont mind working late at al. I am planning on staying for my full year, but I know that I want something more challenging and have noticed my work becoming a little more dull / easy and I am hoping to lateral into IB next summer. I had a few IB offers coming out of college, but wasnt totally sure if it was the right path for me. If anybody has any advice on how to approach a lateral into IB, how the process works, when I should start networking / applying, how difficult it would be please let me know. Thank you!
