Advice for a noob?

Hey everyone. I am getting my MSF this fall and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions? Like knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently? I'm a bit overwhelmed atm to be honest in terms of career direction. I like PE but I know it's rare to enter that field with no experience.

A good WLB is incredibly important to me and although I don't mind working cruling hours to gain the experience and knowledge, I'm looking for a path that will eventually allow for the best of both worlds, high compensation and good WTF balance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
