Advice for someone transitioning from M&A at a BB to REPE

Hey all. Would love any general career or RE-specific advice you could provide. For some context on my background, I graduated from H/S in '22 and began working in M&A at a reputable shop in NYC as an analyst (BB), even did the whole PE recruitment deal and was pretty successful. But I'd been having some pretty severe mental health issues for a while as well as family issues back home and was placed in a pretty toxic group where I was working 80-90 hours a week. I decided to leave the firm about a year ago and unfortunately stuff got worse for me. Family stuff got worse, mental health deteriorated and actually recruited earlier but had some reference checks lead to a rescinded offer as they found out that I left the firm on bad terms. After doing better since the start of the year, I've been re-recruiting for roles and have been pretty successful. Had always been interested in RE and landed an REPE role (offer is contingent on some reference checks - so fingers crossed this time). Would love any advice in terms of general career advice, networking, best practices, etc. I'm really looking at this as my second chance and am extremely grateful to have this opportunity.

Really appreciate it!
