Advice: French Engineer in M&A

Good morning everybody!

I've just discovered this forum and I think I might use your help!

To briefly introduce myself: I am a French engineer (from a Grande école d'ingénieur in mechanic for those who are familiar with that) and I'm am doing a MSc in Finance in France. My main professional goal is to work in M&A and here are important things about it: - I don't have any professional experience in Finance - I would love to work in other countries (UK, USA, China ...)

I France it's quite difficult to get an internship of six months without prior experience in Finance. Would you have any advice to: - get an internship in M&A (anywhere in the world) - Find a list of (midcap) M&A boutiques in the UK that could hire me as an intern? I've heard that in UK, employers were more openminded about the background.

Of course, I applied for summer internships, but I do not have any positive answer so far.

Thank for your time and have a good day!
