Advice from you monkeys

Hey guys. Looking to do a part time internship next semester. Have been in contact with a few different people, but nothing concrete yet, kind of a, "get back in touch later and we will see" kind of thing. I recently spoke with a senior analyst in ER at a BB.

At first he said he could try and ask around the analyst community to get my foot in the door elsewhere, but then at the end he mentioned that his junior analyst has recently been complaining about work load so there might be something in his office.

He told me to send him my CV, and i did the next day. This conversation happened 2 weeks ago. When should I get back in contact with him? What should my next email entail? Thx guys.

Get back to him now. You've definitely waited long enough that you won't sound needy or desperate. Just be casual but convey interest. "Hi so and so, I really enjoyed speaking with you about blah blah and was wondering if you got a chance to look at my resume. I'm really interested because blah blah. talk to you soon."

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!
