Advice needed: Interview Prep for Prestigious EB
Hey WSO,
So I have a huge interview for a FT Analyst position next month at an EB (think Centerview, Evercore, etc); what should I expect in the interview and how should I prepare? I’ve been studying my technicals for months and think I’ll be in decent shape; however, I understand that EBs (and especially for FT) tend to grill harder than BBs, but I’m wondering what resources I should use to prepare? What types of questions should I expect beyond the typical BB questions (or are they the same)?
Also how valuable are case study materials and which ones do you recommend?
How prestigious are we talking about? Paradise-level? If that's the case, you should focus on getting extremely familiar with the Fintech landscape.
Are you being sarcastic or is that real advice?
I need to know if I should give you a banana for being helpful or for being funny
Ignore him, its a joke about FT Partners.
I'm here to help though, just answer the question: how prestigious? If it is indeed as prestigious as you say, I can tell you first hand that PWP asks technical questions
I would honestly say just read rosenbaum and pearl start to finish. people say that doing so is way too OD and hardo for regular interviews but for ur EB its definitely helpful and fair game. it will provide a great foundation. goodluck man hope you really kill it
I looked it up and wow this sounds like it’ll be extremely useful.. thank you so much!! Sounds like a very exciting and interesting read
+1 silver guy 🍌
