Advice on breaking into M&A?
Hi all,
I have been recently trying to get into M&A (London) and so far, it has been quite difficult to break through or make any serious progress. Unfortunately, I hold the 3 ultimate investment banking sins, I finished my MSc in Finance from a non-target, GPA is 3.4 and I have not interned in any IB before, just irrelevant office experience.
However, what I do have is stubbornness (not sure if this is a good thing here) and a will to get into IB, particularly M&A. Considering these points, what would you guys suggest as a good starting point to at least increase the chances of landing interviews?
Thanks.
I mean how bad do you want it? You're going to have to look for unpaid FT IB internships and prove yourself.
Its possible, but very unlikely.

If you aren't ready to work hard enough to do the job search, you aren't ready to work in IB!
