About Our Client

Our client is a leading organisation in the area of quality assurance across all industries and sectors. Being a growing, commercial business, located just outside the south-west London area, we are looking for a dynamic Financial Controller who has the experience to support the business through a period of change.

Job Description

As Financial Controller, you will report directly in to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and manage a finance team of eight to deliver monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and, analysis that is robust, clear and can support decision making.

Key aspects of the role include:

Deliver monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts, working closely with budget holders and directors to help them drive performance and manage costs effectively.
Identify and implement improvements to <span class='keyword_link'><a href="/resources/skills/finance/key-performance-indicators-kpis">existing Key Performance Indicators</a></span>, financial policies, procedures and controls, assuring the quality of the financial analysis and driving performance across all support teams.
Manage the year end audit process.
Manage and coach a team of 8 to ensure that Payables, Customer billing and Credit Control are timely and <span class='keyword_link'><a href="/resources/skills/finance/cash-flow">effective and cash flow</a></span> is strong.
Act as the Finance lead in the implementation of a new Enterprise Reporting System.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified accountant with demonstrable commercial focus, strong influencing and communication skills and you will be experienced in leading a team, coaching and training them as required. You will have a thorough knowledge of technical financial and management reporting and ideally have trained within an accountancy practice. In fitting with the values of the organisation, you will be a proactive and hard-working individual who is eager to make improvements, take ownership and help in effective execution of deliverables .

Salary range on offer is £55,000 - £60,000 per annum plus competitive benefits
