Analyst Age

How common is it to become an analyst at 24? Coming from a school where it seems like everyone is just going straight into Analyst positions, I did not get offered and am curious as to how common it is for people who work for 1-2 years and then break into IB again. I know it is more common for analysts to be older in London, but what about the US? Thanks

24 is soooo old, you’re totally washed. If you start now you cant even make MD until 35+.

Truth. I got into PE at 29 as an analyst. I'm now 38 and just made MD.
