any firms still taking lateral hires?

I know that there was a period of time recently when firms were taking lateral analyst transfers - is that still the case?

If so, what is the best way of going about finding opportunities?

Thanks in advance guys.

How do you lateral bank to bank though? Is it just through friends/connections at said banks? Or recruiters...?

No one answered my other question, so here it is again - for all those involved in laterals (either interviewing applicants or successful/ongoing lateral applicants); how is everyone lateraling to other banks?

I've noticed a lot of banks have analyst postings now, but online applications are a black hole with some places... is it mainly through connections or recruiters?
