Any of you flop an interview with a successful business person on TV

Well I just was watching a program, a somewhat highly watched program on TV about Wall Street, and I just saw a person on the show living it up, that was somebody who failed me on an interview (he's in his 50s). I feel like it was good experience, but on the flip side I was not aware this person was as successful as he is. I feel like complete shit for my ignorance and for not preparing for the interview. I also am amazed at how I got my foot in the door to an interview like that with no background or experience in finance and no target school. If I can get an interview at a firm, anybody can.
