Any tips for recruiting???

Rising sophomore at a fairly highly ranked non-target LAC. My current GPA is a 3.45 but is rounded to 3.5(not 3.50). I assume I can get this up to at least a legit 3.5 or possibly a 3.6 in this next semester. Any advice on what I should be doing to make up for this GPA. I have started networking a little bit so far but not a ton. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ramp up networking this late fall/winter but for now focus on whatever internship you got going on (if not get one asap during your school year) and lightly prepping for interviews/technicals + getting your GPA up as high as possible and dont settle for a 3.5

Banking recruiting is super formulaic so i would advise you to talk to seniors or juniors who went through the process at your school bc those ppl can give you the most accurate advice based on your school recruiting

Very similar spot to you, 3.5 at a top LAC (think Amherst, Williams, Middlebury) going into sophomore year. Everyone has said just make sure other components to your application make up for it, primarily relevant work experience and internships. Got a boutique IB internship rn, worked in corp dev M&A last summer, got another boutique IB internship next summer. Maybe get an off cycle internship if you didn’t get anything for this summer.
