Anyone looking for an intern?
I've already been cold calling, networking, etc. but I figured I should cast as wide a net as possible.
Looking to work anywhere, unpaid, from late-April until mid-July (when I start a 1-year MS program) preferably at a small M&A shop.
Without divulging too much info, I have good stats: 3.8 GPA from a target, 720 GMAT, programming knowledge, etc. but no finance internships exactly. Realized more recently that I wanted to go into finance, hence the 1-year MS program.
I'm not stupid.
If anyone would even have a remote interest in this (I will do any and all of your bitch work with a huge smile on my face), PM me.
Thanks guys.
On the same boat. Good luck bro.
You too mate, hope you get some leads out there. Cold calls and cold e-mails have been pretty fruitful for me so far, but I always get the "we're still not sure if we will have the deal flow to warrant an intern" answer...
^ I get that a lot too. How do you usually respond to those?
I will work unpaid and want to do this for the learning experience, not the money. - Say that but word it more elegantly.
If it's a firm that I'm interested in full-time, I ask how I can best position myself once full-time recruitment starts, but otherwise, I don't really have a great response for it yet. Would love to hear one that has been effective for folks.
