Anyone want to be in WSJ/FINS?
I saw this post on HARO. Reporter is looking to ask questions about tough interview questions in the finance world. I figured this was the best place to post this, since everyone here has a story. Reply to the email listed if you're interested.
Summary: Tough Interview Questions
Category: Business and Finance
Email: [email protected]
Media Outlet: FINS.com/The Wall Street Journal
Deadline: 10:00 AM EST - 9 September
Query:
This is specifically for those working in (or those who have interviewed for) financial-sector jobs. I'm looking for people who have interviewed for finance jobs (particularly in investment banking, private equity firms, or hedge funds, though any finance positions would be welcome), and been asked really difficult or bizarre questions. What were the questions, and how did you answer them? Did you get the job? If you are an interviewer at a finance company, I'd also love to hear from you. What do you think is the most challenging question you have asked in an interview? What makes or breaks the answer?
HARO rocks. Shankman's a genius. I can't tell you how many time HARO has helped me out.
