Asking for contacts in the thank-you for an informational interview
I've been doing coffee chats with investment bankers at firms I'm interested in interning at. Sometimes, we pass the half hour mark while they're answering some of my specific questions and as a result, I don't end up asking them to recommend me other people to connect with because I don't want to be rude and take up too much of their time. Would it be okay for me to ask to connect to others in the thank-you email? And if so, how should I phrase it tactfully? In the future, even if we pass the half hour mark, should I still be trying to fit in the question at the end of the coffee chat?
