ASO dropping back to ANL in a better team?

I’m a second year associate in a coverage team but am thinking about moving to a product team as I know the salary is better and it’s better than the team I’m in now But the position is for a senior analyst. Am I ruining my career in doing this? I’m in my late 20s so am I too old to be an analyst?

It’s becUse I’m in a corporate banking covg team. It’s all fx, treasury management, credit, trade and a bit of HG debt.

I’m almost certain that my comp is lower than a senior analyst in the product team.

In this case it kinda makes sense. You'll probably need c.1 year to get up to speed with the role (process, modelling etc.) coming out of CB.
