Audit to IB
I'm currently a intern at a top 10 accounting firm (not big 4) and was wondering if I moved to auditing financials (banks primarily) & being able to audit for 3 years, would I be able to switch to IB or PE from a non big 4 company?
No. You'd need to get 2 years of experience (not big 4 is fine, although big 4 certainly better) and then go to M7 MBA -> IB associate
not directly probably. try to see if you can audit the funds themselves, then you can see the valuation models they keep for recording PortCos at fair market value which can be leveraged more directly
