Back Office to Front Office Help
I just got a job as a corporate actions analyst at a private firm in the Boston area. I am already planning on staying at the firm for at least 6 months just to get some experience as a recent graduate but I'm always looking for that next opportunity.
Obviously this wasn't my top choice as a first job out of school so I came here looking for advice on how to transition/leverage this job into getting a job in investment banking. I'm just looking for tips for networking, who I should talk to, licenses I should get, skills, and any other helpful advice that would increase my chances. I'm making this post for people who are at or went to a non target and didn't end up at the job they wanted.
Any advice would be appreciated.
MBA is the best way. Laterally in as an analyst with no transaction experience is very hard.
