Background Check/Pre-employment Drug screening

Hey WSO,

Long time lurker first time poster, I recently got a full time job offer for an entry level position. (I'm currently in school) With the offer they mentioned that there would be a background check consisting of a few items. None of what was mentioned on there was a drug screening, nor has it been brought up by HR since I've gotten my offer. (Last month)

I'm curious as to if I should expect a pre-employment drug screening to occur and when it would most likely occur. Thanks!

Stop "doing" whatever you're "doing". ASAP.

They can send you the dreaded "72 hours" email any day now. So take precautions.

Sorry I need more "bananapoints" to send PMs. So they have sent me a background check form for me to detail my past work history, schooling and credit check. No 72 hour notification yet though. I stopped "doing what I was doing" appx 4 weeks ago.

This is in consulting BTW.
