Bad thank you letter?
I had an interview where I really hit it off with the guys and nailed it. The same night I sent a thank you letter to the guys I met with, yet to hear back from them. The content of the e-mail was dry and lacked enthusiasm. Basically jus thanked them for their time and enjoyed meeting with them. Could this end up hurting you instead?
I'll end up hurting you if you don't stop asking paranoid questions. RELAX!
Usually nobody responds to thank you's and you shouldn't worry. Imagine how benign they are and the volume of these that they receive. It is irrelevant. Do not ever expect a response.
I had one guy who sent literally the same thank you letter to myself and three other people in my pod, and only changed the names. He still got an offer.
Hendricks and Tonic. Amazing.
99% of the people won't respond to thank you emails. Just relax
DUUUUUUUUDE Thanks for the interview
"Thank you for your thank you letter. Best regards"
"Thank you for your reply to my thank you letter. Best regards"
You see how shit would get awkward real quick?
BOOM, offer.
You're over analyzing the situation. A quick and short e-mail thanking them is fine.
