Benefits of Having Multiple Majors
I'm currently a junior in the midst of applying to analyst positions for the summer. I was wondering what, if any, are the benefits of having more than one major on your resume? Are firms more likely to take candidates with two majors if the candidates are otherwise equal? I'm not considering adding a second major just for the sake of adding it on my resume. However, I would like to get an idea of whether or not having just one major is detrimental to my chances of obtaining a position.
This is my first post. So any answers would be greatly appreciated!
An extra major will not do a ton. That time is better spent networking/interning/self-teaching/interview prep. I had one major from a total non-target and it didn't stop me from getting many great interviews.
Only double major that might help in Finance is Finance & Accounting double major. I wouldn't worry too much about it though.
